One of the ultimate challenges in today’s healthcare system is most definitely the financial struggles. Healthcare facilities have to operate under immense financial pressure. The cost of operations keeps increasing while the reimbursement is being reduced year after year, so every penny counts.

Though there is less money available; the requirements for employee education are still the same and come at the cost of thousands of dollars every year. For example, an average class on IV management with only 8-10 nurses can easily cost $5,000 or more!

We’ve created IV Mastery as an affordable solution for IV education. The cost for an entire year subscription is a fraction of the cost of only one conventional class.

When you subscribe to IV Mastery your staff gains unlimited access to all of our classes, with no hidden fees or extra charges.

With IV Mastery, you will be able to train your staff 24/7 all year long at their own pace. You’ll save thousands of dollars, all while keeping them educated and compliant with State regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Many users are allowed per facility?

Each facility is allowed an unlimited amount of users.

Which Regulations Does IV Mastery Follow?

IV Mastery meets the highest standards of compliance. We follow the Standards of Practice from the Infusion Nurse Society (INS), DPH Regulations, the CDC Standards of Practice and the Association for Vascular Access recommendations.

Can we still schedule an onsite class for our nurses?

YES. If you are in need of an onsite visit for the launch or for a onsite clinical class, go to your facility page where you can access our appointment calendar and schedule an onsite visit. Additional charges may apply.

How long are the classes?

All classes are divided in less then 20 minute modules that can be stopped and resumed at the student’s pace. The student never loses what was completed and can finish it later if needed.

After taking your courses will I be “IV Certified”?

To answer this question, we must go back to the Board of Nursing in the state that you practice. Each board of nursing has rules on the requirements for IV Certifications for LPNs/LVNs and RNs and what is required to practice IV therapies within that state.

Very few states have actual “IV Certification”. Most states require post licensure education, provided from an accredited organization. Some BONs are very specific in what the course must cover, regarding how many hours the course content must span, and other BONs are very vague.  For the boards that are very specific as to what courses need to cover or have a minimum number of course hours, we have made state specific packages, or state specific and state approved courses. Understand IV Education for LPNs/LVNs and RNs

You may see each BON and their requirements from our State Boards of Nursing link here.

How long does it take to complete a course?

The number of contact hours set for each course is the true number of hours we expect it to take to completely read a course, view videos, and answer review questions.

Are there time limits for completing your course?

There are no time limits for course completion set by IV Mastery. You may start and stop the course(s) as many times as your needs and schedule permits until the online IV Certification course is complete.

Can the information contained within the course be printed?

Yes, there is an option to print the contents of the course. These courses are extremely long and will require a good deal of paper and you can print the course workbook for all the classes.

How do I complete the clinical practice component of a course?

The clinical practice component of some classes will be coordinated by your nurse educator. In the nurse educator dashboard there are specific instructions on how to prepare and conduct a clinical practice session.
